Reality in Transit: In Landers' b/w photographs, a visible, nameable likeness is not a priority.

For Landers, rather, it is about the fundamental process of expressing reality. His photographs are reminiscent of thin cross-sections of tissue. Except that here, a slice is cut through textures of matter, space, time and emptiness, perhaps even to appear as "Dark" material and "Dark" energy.

The homogeneous colour surfaces in Landers' images symbolise simultaneously the intangible emotional conditions and also the emptiness of matter. EMPTINESS: a labyrinth - It reveals nothing, and neither does it allow us to look behind it
